Traditionally, the Corporate Treasurer’s roles has focussed on Treasury flows – cash, investments and capital, that complement the commercial or supply chain flows. A holistic look at the supply chain from the CEO's perspective, however, throws up some interesting observations on potential issues and value that can be harnessed from solving these.
There are several pressure points in the Financial supply chain (denoted with the red arrows in the diagram), and liquidity and capital are required for the smooth functioning of each element in the supply chain.
